HejHugo Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• Tutors: name, email, password (securely hashed via Supabase Auth), payment details (handled entirely by Stripe, we never see your card number), a profile photo if you choose to upload one.
• Students: name and email (provided by their tutor), an avatar they choose, and audio recordings of their homework replies.
• Everyone: basic technical data needed to operate the service (e.g. login sessions).

2. Audio recordings

Recordings made by tutors and students are stored securely and are only accessible to the relevant tutor and their own students, never shared publicly or with other users.

3. How we use this data

Solely to operate HejHugo: authenticate you, deliver homework content, process payments, and send service-related emails (like magic-link invites).

4. Who we share data with

We use the following third-party services to operate HejHugo, each of which processes limited data on our behalf:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
• Stripe — payment processing (tutors only)
• Resend — sending transactional emails (invites, login links)
• Vercel — hosting the application

We do not sell your data, or any student's data, to anyone.

5. Age requirement

HejHugo is intended for adult tutors. See our Terms of Service for how student accounts, including those of minors, are handled and who bears responsibility for that decision.

6. Data retention and deletion

Removed students' data is retained for 30 days before permanent deletion, giving tutors a window to restore an account removed in error. You can request deletion of your data by submitting a ticket through the app.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Submit a ticket through the app to make a request.
